Alzheimer’s and Dementia: Diagnosis, Treatment, and Caregiver Support

More than seven million Americans age 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s disease. One in three older adults dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia. Nearly 13 million Americans provide unpaid care for a family member or friend with dementia. Good news: The discovery of indicators, called biomarkers, has transformed diagnosis and helped identify dementia risk factors. New treatments slow the disease and allow those in early stages to maintain a more normal life. Our panel members will share current information on preventing, diagnosing, and treating Alzheimer’s and dementia, and resources for caregivers. Questions welcome.
