Minnesota State Services for the Blind

We are a state-wide rehabilitation agency that provides in-home services to seniors who are experiencing a wide range vision conditions. The services are designed to assist seniors learn new ways to maintain their independence despite vision loss.  We can provide magnification devices, tactile devices, talking devices, computer/cell phone training, in-home daily living skills training and Orientation & Mobility (white cane) training. Services are taxpayer funded and come at no cost to the consumer. We do not collect income information or Social Security information. One does not need to be blind. A person is eligible if they are 55 years of age or older, not working or seeking employment and who despite the best corrective glasses they can get, they still can’t read regular print.
